Six seconds down to three

A public website for a farm-software company, built inside the WordPress-hosted environment it already ran on — and made to load in roughly half the time it used to.

The navfarm.com homepage: the navfarm wordmark and navigation above the headline “Digitize Poultry, Dairy, Livestock & Crop Farming – All from One Powerful Platform”, with a “Talk to Expert” button and an illustration of livestock beside a hand holding a phone.

Before NAVFarm the platform, there was navfarm.com the website. From October to December 2025 the subject worked on contract and built the public site independently, with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery and Tailwind, inside the WordPress-hosted environment the company already ran.

The constraint was the environment. The site had to live where it already lived, so the work went into what could be changed inside it rather than into replacing it.

“Average load time: from around 6.0 seconds to 3.2.”

The measurable part of the file is speed. Through asset optimisation, a CDN, lazy loading and JavaScript work, average load time fell from around 6.0 seconds to 3.2.

Three months later the subject was at Prudence Technology, working on the NAVFarm platform itself — Exhibit A.
